Ratatouille: The TikTok Musical

 

In August, TikTok user Emily Jacobsen posted a video of an ode to Remy from the Disney/Pixar film Ratatouille. Under the hashtag #RatatouilleMusical, the idea went viral. Theatre professionals of every sort posted videos of songs, sets, and production numbers. By November, plans evolved for a complete professional and virtual production which was shown from January 1-5, raising more than a million dollars for The Actor's Fund.

Art lovers recreate artworks from items at home with #betweenartandquarantine

"The Getty challenged folks to imitate classic pieces with whatever they can find around their homes and since has gotten thousands of hilarious (and well-done) responses." (Getty Blog article by Sarah Waldorf and Annelisa Stephan, March 30, 2020)

This challenge originated with the @tussenkunstenquarantaine (Between Art and Quarantine in Dutch) account on Instagram, in late March. Very shortly, the account had thousands of submissions from creative people all over the world.
