An easy way to get to revenue and sales statistics is to click on the Comparison Charts tab and then select Industries. Click the Add/Remove button to add one or more Industries. It helps to know the NAICS code for your industry. Search Metrics include Revenue, Sales per Employee, Companies Over Time, and more
This site provides access to the Census Bureau programs that provide economic data for a user-selected industry. To search enter the appropriate NAICS code or select from NAICS Code menu.
While the default search on Hoovers is for All Catagories of information, you can use the drop down menu to change this to a simple Industry search. Hoover's has its own industry classifications, but NAICS and SIC codes can be used effectively as search terms.
