Made in Italy in the Future Tense: Fashion, Cultural Heritage, Sustainability
2:40 p.m. Coffee Break
2:50 p.m. Roundtable discussion with FIT faculty to discuss leveraging professional and teaching opportunities in Italy
3:30 p.m. Presentation of highlights from the Italian design collection at the Museum of FIT and the new Italian resources guide from the Gladys Marcus Library at FIT (Drs. Rebecca Bauman and Erica Moretti, Assistant Professors of Italian, Department of Modern Languages and Cultures)
3:50 p.m. Closing remarks
Concurrent with the event, NYC-based Italian textile source T-Project Showroom will display their wares as an example of how Accessories Design students at FIT interact with and utilize Italian materials in their own creations.
