Forecast Collection in Periodicals

For Current Forecasts:

The most current three seasons of forecasts are restricted to FIT students and personnel. They are available by request at the Periodicals Desk on the 4th Floor. An appointment is not needed to view these materials.

When requesting forecasts: please include company name and title of forecast, as well as the season you wish to see.

RULES AND REGULATIONS

• Must be viewed inside the Forecast Reading Room
• Current FIT ID required for restricted forecasts
• 2-hour loan period
• Photography of the materials is permitted for personal and FIT class use only; photos may not be posted publicly in any format, including on social media. Materials may not be scanned. If you do not have access to a camera to photograph the materials, you may check one out at the Access Services Desk on the 5th floor of the FIT Library.  
• Food and drinks are not permitted when using print forecasts

For Historical Forecasts:

The materials in this collection are available for students, FIT personnel, and researchers by appointment only. We will ask for a list of materials you would like to see, so please look at this guide before scheduling an appointment. The paging limit for each visit is 3 linear feet for sequential items or 20 items. Appointments require 48 hours advance notice. Please allow time for confirmation of the time and day of your appointment and materials requested.

NEED A LIBRARIAN?
Want your students to learn more about the forecasting and trend services?  FIT faculty can schedule a class with a librarian to present the various online and print services and explain their use.

WANT TO DO IT YOURSELF?
FIT faculty may also request space and conduct their own forecast workshop sessions for their classes. Select: This is a request for: "Self-conducted" at the top of the form.  Then fill out the forecast orientation form in the pop-up window to select materials for the class.  Library personnel will confirm your request within 48 hours.
