Color

IMPORTANT: Keep in mind that colors on the computer screen WILL vary from the actual physical color due to variations in monitor settings.

Follow these STEPS to create a custom color palette from an image

1. Login to Fashion Snoops (use FIT username)
2. Sign-in to your Fashion Snoops I.D. account (use FIT email address)
3. Click on the CREATE tab
4. Start a NEW PROJECT (or a recent project)
5. Select a COLOR STANDARD (e.g. Pantone FHI Cotton TCX, Coloro, etc.)
6. Click on EXTRACT FROM IMAGE
7. Upload an image from your computer
8. Click on the image to select a color (TIP: Magnify the image for better selection)
9. Drag the desired color sample(s) to the color strip
   or Select a few to drag to the color strip or click ADD TO PALETTE
10. Arrange swatches to desired color order (drag swatches)
11. Resize the color widths to show primary and accent colors
12. Click on SAVE AS >> SAVE NOW to save project and continue working
13. EXPORT as a JPG, SVG (vectors), PDF file or print active board

Login to WGSN (2-steps) Use Private / Incognito Browser

1. Login to WGSN through the FIT Library Database page. Use your FIT username and password (without the @fitnyc.edu).
2. Login into your WGSN account with your FIT email address and your WGSN password (not your FIT password)

To find the COLOR REPORTS, FEED STORIES or IMAGES

1. Select Fashion or Insight or Interiors in the top menu
2. Under the RESEARCH & CREATE column click on COLOUR

To find COLOUR LIBRARIES

1. Select Fashion or Insight or Interiors in the top menu
2. Hover/Move your mouse over DESIGN RESOURCES
3. Select COLOUR LIBRARIES

To find COLOUR PLAY to create your own color palette (Pantone, Coloro, Color Solutions Inc, etc..)

1. Select Fashion or Insight or Interiors in the top menu
2. Click on COLOUR PLAY at the very bottom of the page

Save images and swatches to your SPACES folders (formerly called WORKSPACE)
